How is your Forno Nardona purchase shipped?

There are several steps that need to be taken to ensure the safe delivery of your Forno Nardona purchase.

FORNO NARDONA SHIPPING INFORMATION

• Your Forno Nardona custom oven and/or outdoor kitchen must be paid in full prior to shipping.
• We will provide you with tracking information once it has shipped, is using a common carrier.
• Shipping time varies depending on your location but typically you can expect it to arrive within 3-8 days with 8 days on the west coast and 3 on the east coast.
• The day of or day after shipping, you will receive an email with the tracking information and reminders of the procedures noted here.
• When the shipment arrives at your local distribution facility, a dispatcher from the shipping company will call you to arrange a delivery date and time within 3 days of arrival at the distribution center.
• For ovens 40″ and up, we will use ONLY a private shipper and you will be given the diver’s name and phone number for direct contact.  We may also choose to use a private shipper for smaller ovens if available.
• With a private shipper, there is less chance of damage because the oven never leaves the truck until it reaches you.

Your Forno Nardona Purchase

1.     Check the exterior and interior of the Forno Nardona crate for damage.

•          Is there any visible damage to the crate exterior? Or to the pallet?
•          How about the Shock Sensors?

If the Shock Sensor is RED, this indicates rough handling.  If it is MISSING, or if there is visible damage to the crate, take pictures and make a note on the Bill of Lading (BOL).

•      Is there any visible damage to the interior?
•     YOU MUST INSPECT THE CRATE AND CONTENTS.

AT A MINIMUM, PEEK INTO THE CRATE.  Most drivers are NOT going to wait for you to open the crate, so at a minimum you must peek into the crate from the top. You may want to have a step stool handy for this.  And add a note on the BOL before signing and document with photos.

2.     NOTATE ANY DAMAGE ON THE DELIVERY FORM AND THEN SIGN IT.

•         If there is no visible exterior damage, then WRITE: NO VISIBLE DAMAGE TO CRATE AND CONTENTS BUT ANY “CONCEALED” DAMAGE IS UNKNOWN AT TIME OF DELIVERY.  This is very important.
•          If there is damage, then please note the damage on the delivery invoice and take photos.  If a replacement part is required, then we will ship you one right away.
•          And if the damage appears to be more than cosmetic, then REFUSE DELIVERY.

 If the visible damage appears to be cosmetic, i.e., a tile missing or a scratch to the stucco, then accept delivery notating the damage and noting “CONCEALED DAMAGE UNKNOWN AT TIME OF DELIVERY,” unless the driver has allowed you time to fully inspect the interior of the oven dome.

3.     You must fully inspect the interior of the crate within 3 days and report to Forno Nardona any CONCEALED damage. For ease, please click here to go to our contact page.

FAILURE TO PERFORM THESE STEPS, MAY JEOPARDIZE YOUR CLAIM AGAINST THE SHIPPER and DELAY any replacement oven if the damage is unrepairable. 

Customer Pick-up or Booking of their own shipment: The customer is responsible for all damages once they pick up or when the shipment changes hands to their selected carrier.
